SensoLogic's new SL Calibration Network software enables users of multiple near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) or other chemometric analyzers in several locations to share and maintain calibration models, regardless of the type of spectrometer and the calibration software used.
The program supports automatic data transfer between multible measuring points (clients) and their associated spectrometers (devices) and a calibration server, using the internet.
Calibration models are created and administered centrally and made available on the server for upload or download. The client program logs into the server via any type of internet connection, using controlled access data, and initiates the data transfer.
New spectral and reference data from the client can be transferred to the calibration server to check the quality of current calibrations and to update them when necessary.
Data transfer takes place via input and output directories. All events are recorded in a log file and are available to users with the necessary access rights, and the transferred data is also stored in archive directories.
The software's free configuration of users, user grous, spectrometer types and data exchange formats makes it adaptable in scope and scale to organisations of all sizes. It can manage heterogeneous networks which contain spectrometer types and calibration software from several different manufacturers.
Despite its great flexibility, SL Calibration Network is easy to learn and use. It is ideal for busy central laboratories which need to create, modify and administer calibrations and for academic institutions which share data, bringing higher productivity and data security to calibration management.
